Live betting on Housebets

A live bet is a bet the sportsbook marks as in-play. Anything accepted after the event has started, without that live label, is void. The dangerous part is timing. The picture on your screen can be ahead of the sportsbook's feed, or behind it. The rules put that risk on the bettor.

Clause 7.1.5 and the error rules in section 7 are the source. Full text: sportsbook rules.

What happens when you click

The bet is not on until the sportsbook accepts it and it shows in your history. Live acceptance can be held. You may see a price, click, and get a rejection or a new price because the odds moved. Settings in the rules cover accepting higher odds only, or refusing any change until you confirm again.

Cash Out on a live bet is optional and can be withdrawn at any time. Taking it settles the bet at that offer. There is no second payout if the selection later wins as well, and a cashed-out combo misses ComboBoost.

The risks that actually void bets

Past-posting. A bet accepted after the event has started or finished, other than a clearly marked live bet, is void.

Known outcome. If the result of the event or market was already known when the stake was placed or accepted, or the odds were stale because of a slow feed, the bet can be void. Betting a goal that has already been scored, while the market is still up, is the example the rules use.

Obvious error. A price that is plainly wrong, or a stake over the market limit, can be void. A live bet can stay valid unless you gained a real advantage from the lag.

Information only. Scoreboards, streams, clocks and stat widgets do not have to be complete or real-time. Do not stake off a graphic that disagrees with the match you are watching. Sport pages for football, tennis, basketball and esports each add their own wrong-score wording.

Live betting FAQ

Why does the betspin sit there during a corner?

The sportsbook may delay or suspend live acceptance in high-risk moments, such as a free kick or a one-on-one. That pause is allowed.

I saw the goal on a faster stream and the market was still open. Is the bet good?

Not if the outcome was already known, or the odds had not updated. The sportsbook can void it as a material advantage.

The same applies to a red card or a point that has already been won.

The scoreboard showed 0-0 and it was 1-0. Can I void my bet?

A wrong live score is not automatically a void. The operator does not guarantee clocks, scores or streams.

If the market stayed open on a score that actually moved the odds, the sportsbook can void bets from that window. That is their call under the error rule, not a button you press.

Is a bet placed after kickoff always live?

Only if it is clearly an in-play bet. A pre-match bet accepted after the start is void.

Do live bets settle on the stream?

No. Settlement uses the official result. The stream is entertainment. You are responsible for the real state of the event.
